President’s Letter (January, 2008)

2008 is underway and your board of directors has been busy. With input obtained from the 2007 annual conference ASCA held its first educational seminar in many years. The title of the seminar was "Working Through Adversity, The positive Aspects of change. A big thanks to Jane Eck (Former President) for all of her hard work. The seminar was a big success and we hope to hold similar events in the future.

The event was held at Chase Field the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

This year's conference will be held in Phoenix to help reduce travel costs for Maricopa county ASCA members due to budget constraints. Updates will be sent out regularly. The conference will be in July and the date will be set soon. ASCA's financial setting continues to improve and with new sponsors and new events we are getting closer to our goal of hiring an "Executive Director" who can run our conferences and special events.
